Eight out of ten respondents said that it would be better not to change the clock twice a year, according to a public representative survey conducted by the Publicus Institute on behalf of the daily Népszava with 1,001 respondents.
Compared to surveys three years ago, there has been a slight increase in the proportion of those who prefer canceling. Now, two-thirds of respondents said if they they would choose the summer savings time when there is more daylight in the evening hours.
Nearly one in seven respondents are aware that the reason for the clock change is because it has a specific economic benefit, while four in ten believe that it no longer has any economic benefit.
