German Dachser's Hungarian subsidiary achieved a nearly 50% higher profit after tax in 2020 compared to the previous year, the company's management said at an online press conference on Wednesday.

Liegl & Dachser Transport and Logistics Ltd., which predominantly sells for export, employed nearly 280 people and achieved a net turnover of HUF 22.6 billion and a profit after tax of HUF 2.34 billion in 2020. A year earlier, it had net sales of HUF 22.5 billion and a profit of HUF 1.6 billion.

At Wednesday's online press conference on the logistics provider's financial results for 2020, Roman Stolicny, CEO of Liegl & Dachser in Hungary and Dachser Slovakia, said that despite the epidemic, the company had closed the year successfully, both in Hungary and globally.

He stressed that Dachser is active worldwide in the transport of industrial materials, raw materials and foodstuffs – chilled products – by land, water and air, and that the group's revenue – as in 2019 – exceeded EUR 5.6 billion in 2020.

As he said, they are confident that in 2021, the company's growth in Hungary and worldwide could be around 10%. Dachser is present in 44 countries worldwide and employs 30,800 people at around 400 locations.
