June 10, 2014

The daily heat record for June 10 in Budapest was broken by more than two degrees Celsius this Tuesday as 36.3 degrees were measured in the northern part of the capital. According to the weather forecast, the heat is to decelerate on Thursday, the earliest.

Up to now, the warmest on this day was in 2003 when 34 degrees Celsius was measured in the outskirts called Pestszentlõrinc.

The national record did not fall, though. This Tuesday, 36.5 degrees was measured in Körösszakál, in the eats of the country, which is 0.2 degrees below the highest temperature measured on June 10, 1916 in Kaposvár, west-central Hungary.
