Over the weekend, nine more patients died as a result of the new coronavirus infection, 648 new cases were found and the number of hospitalized people also rose in Hungary.
In the last three days, 648 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected, bringing the total number of identified infected people to 813,688 since the beginning of the outbreak, according to the related government website on Monday morning. Nine patients have died, bringing the total official number of deaths in this country to 30,070.
The number of active infected persons rose by 391 to 5,382. The number of people hospitalized has risen significantly since Thursday, when 149 were reported, and there are now 194 coronavirus patients in hospital. 23 people are on ventilators, a number that increased by four over the weekend.
Since Friday, 17,897 people have received their first vaccine (5,817,481 in total so far), while 7,720 have received their second dose (5,519,838) and 404,000 have already received their third vaccine.
