COVID-19: More Fatalities and More Infected in Hungary

The new coronavirus was detected in 873 people in Hungary on Friday and over the two weekend days, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 815,605, according to official figures. The coronavirus infection contributed to the death of 12 patients. The death toll of the epidemic is 30,098.

Ladt Monday, 648 new infections and 9 deaths were reported.

There are 779,005 recovered, 365 more than the previous Friday's figures. The number of active infected has increased by 496 to 6,502.

There are 266 patients with coronavirus in hospital, an increase of 46 in the last three days in the number of COVID-19 patients requiring such care. The number of patients on ventilators has increased by 4 to 34. A week ago, there were 194 patients with coronavirus in hospitals, 23 of whom needed to be ventilated.

5,840,588 people have been vaccinated at least once (+5,627), of whom 5,545,538 have already received their second vaccination (+3940). The third dose was given to 512,000 people (+25,000).
