COVID-19: 20 Fatalities in Hungary Over the Weekend

In the past three days, 1,183 new cases of the disease have been confirmed and twenty, mostly elderly, chronic patients have died in Hungary.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of identified infected persons has risen to 821,261 and the number of deaths to 30,171, according to koronavirus.gov.hu.

The number of cured cases is currently 783,167 and the number of active infected persons is 7,923.

478 patients with coronavirus are in hospital, 71 of whom are on ventilators. Both figures show an upward trend, with the number of hospitalised patients up by 40 and the number on ventilators up by 17 since Friday.

The number of vaccinated persons is 5,879,178, of whom 5,630,587 have already received their second vaccination and 714 thousand have already received their third vaccination.
