Over 6.900 COVID-19 Patients Hospitalized in Hungary

By Friday morning, the death toll from the epidemic in Hungary had risen by 162 to 33,866. 6,913 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized. Of these, 695 need mechanical ventilation.

By Friday, another 11,871 people had been diagnosed with the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,068,888 in Hungary, according to official data.

The number of people declared cured is 862,534 – 5,081 more than a day earlier. The number of actively infected people rose by 6,626 in one day to 172,488.

The government has announced a one-week extension of the vaccination campaign week originally decalred from November 22 to 28, so that vaccination is now open to all those who want to be vaccinated without registration or advance booking at 101 hospitals and specialist clinics in the country between 7 am and 7 pm daily until December 5.
