According to estimates by the real estate brokerage firm Duna House, based on its own data, there were 150,974 sales on the Hungarian real estate market last year, which is 15% higher than in 2020, the company told the state news agency MTI on Monday.
The real estate distributor estimates that the 11,422 real estate transactions concluded in December 2021 were 4% more than in the previous month.
The trend in the credit market moderated in December, according to Duna House data, with an estimated HUF 110 billion in the mortgage market, one and a half times the market volume at the end of 2020, and roughly the same as the November disbursement.
They added that in 2021, more than HUF 1,300 billion of mortgage loans were taken out in Hungary, based on data by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) and Duna House's latest bimonthly estimate, which is a 40% increase compared to 2020.
