Hungary's Foreign Trade Balance Further Deteriorates

The value of exports was 13% and that of imports 24% larger in EUR terms in June 2022 than in the same period of the previous year, The balance of external trade in goods declined by EUR 1.0 billion, the Central Statistical Office reports.

Compared to the previous month, the level of goods exports decreased by 3.4% and that of goods imports by 0.3%.

In June 2022:
The value of exports amounted to EUR 11.873 million (HUF 4,679 billion) and that of imports to EUR 12.344 million (HUF 4,856 billion).

The deficit on external trade in goods was EUR 471 million (HUF 176 billion).

The share of EU Member States (EU27_2020) was 76% in exports and 70% in imports.

In June 2022, compared to a year earlier:
The value of exports increased by 13% and that of imports by 24% in EUR terms.
