To commemorate the 66th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and War of Independence, Niagara Falls was once again lit up in Hungarian national colors on October 23, 2022, the Hungarian state news agency reported on Monday morning.
It was for the third time, the Canadian and US sides of the falls were lit in red, white and green to mark the occasion.
Celebrations across Ontario to honor Hungarians who lived in the area during 1956 and to thank Canada for having offered a second home to many Hungarian 1956ers.
