On Friday, 7,207 people entered Hungary at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, while 7,745 of those entering at the Romanian-Hungarian border said they had come from Ukraine, the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) said.

As reported by MTI on Sunday morning, of those who entered, police issued 91 people with temporary residence permits valid for 30 days. They will have to go to the office of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing for their place of residence to obtain their permanent documents.

15 people - including 10 children - arrived in Budapest by train, fleeing the war in Ukraine, ORFK said. The Budapest Police Headquarters are working with the Standby Police to help refugees arriving by train from Ukraine. The Budapest Civil Guard Association is also providing support.
