Surplus of the External Trade in Goods: EUR 1.5 Bn

The value of export was 11% higher, while that of import 4.7% lower in EUR terms in June 2023 than in the same period of the previous year. The balance of the external trade in goods improved by EUR 1.9 billion, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reports.

Compared to the previous month, the level of export in goods increased by 2.9% and the import of goods grew by 0.2%.

In June 2023:
The value of exports amounted to EUR 13.4 billion (HUF 4,972 billion), that of imports to EUR 11.9 billion (HUF 4,424 billion).

The surplus of the external trade in goods was EUR 1.5 billion (HUF 548 billion).

The share of EU Member States (EU27_2020) was 77% in exports and 71% in imports.

In June 2023 compared to a year earlier:
The value of export increased by 11%, while that of import decreased by 4.7% in EUR terms.
