Matild Palace is gearing up for the most exclusive red-carpet affair of the year, a celebration honoring the internationally acclaimed luminaries of the Hungarian film industry who have made an indelible mark on the global cinematic landscape.

The culinary experience for this prestigious event on May 10 will be curated by no other than the legendary chef Wolfgang Puck. Renowned as one of the world's top 10 wealthiest chefs, Puck has crafted the menu for the renowned after-party of the world's most prestigious film industry awards for an impressive 30 consecutive years.

When Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck opened Spago on the Sunset Strip in 1982, it immediately caught the attention of Hollywood: the opening night in January was attended by the stars of the film industry, all the superstars who mattered at the time. It was the first restaurant with an open show kitchen, which was like a stage in the middle of the restaurant. It was a friendly, bright venue with colorful graphics, in stark contrast to the style of the restaurants of the competition at the time.

According to the statement released, Wolfgang Puck revolutionized at that time the culinary world with his innovative, affordable and delicious food – and today, he is regarded as one of the world's most renowned gastronomic experts. Puck's association with the film industry began when Irving Paul ‘Swifty’ Lazar, one of the most famous celebrity managers of all time, held his event at Spago in 1985. Diana Ross, Cary Grant, Jodie Foster and Robin Williams are just some of the guests who attended the party. And the first Governors Ball, the gala after the world's most famous film awards ceremony, was first held in 1995, dating back 30 years and now history.
