Daniella Electricity further strengthens its market leader role in the region of Pécs by acquiring Elektro UNO's electrical products trading business unit.

The transaction took place in June 2024, as a result of which the electrical products trading business unit of the long-established Elektro UNO, with 6 sites, will continue to operate under the Daniella Electricity brand name, with its sites and staff.

The professional experience and culture accumulated by the Elektro UNO team will also be of outstanding value to Daniella Electricity by enriching the Group's human and intellectual capital.

With the acquisition, the number of sites of the family owned business – that has realized more than 40 billion HUF net sales -  will increase from 39 to 45 locations all over the country.

A brief recap
A defining element of the success of Daniella Electricity, which is Hungary's market-leading electrical wholesaler and retailer, with significant domestic and international results, is the integration of the 30-year-old Elektro UNO electrical products trading business unit and business network into the company's operations. As a result of the mutual agreement between the two family-owned companies, the expertise and know-how accumulated in the materials trading business unit and business network of Elektro UNO will continue to operate under the brand name of Daniella Electricity.

Traditional name, innovative enterprise, familiar quality service
With the acquisition, Daniella Electricity occupies a more significant position among resellers, contractors, investors and residential users as a stable, market-leading business partner that can react with even more concentrated resources and a sales strategy that adapts to the rapidly changing conditions of the market. Once the processes have been synced together, an enterprise employing more than 500 people will be established while preserving cultural and human values, as well as many years of professional experience.

Human capital as a core value
Daniella Electricity is at the service of its partners with the country's most prominent network of specialist stores, now consisting of 45 locations. The professional experience and culture accumulated in the Elektro UNO team is of particular value to Daniella Electricity, thus enriching the company with human and intellectual capital. The purpose of the acquisition is to respond to market needs and shape the service portfolio accordingly by exploiting the opportunities inherent in the increasing common knowledge base, by preserving the family values and corporate culture, and by incorporating prior experience. The enterprise seamlessly integrates the newly joined sites into its operations along the prepared processes, ensuring a continuous supply of electrical products to its partners, as well as assisting the integration of the personnel.

Growing regional presence, extended national coverage
With the acquisition, the number of locations nationwide increases to 45, as the Debrecen-based family-owned company strengthens its local presence in two locations in Pécs, as well as in Nagyatád, Dombóvár, Mohács and Komló.

"The goal of the transaction for Daniella Electricity was to provide competitive services with its size and infrastructure in Hungary and in the region, thus strengthening its position as a market leader and contributing to the success of its customers. With its future investments, developments, and continuous innovations, it strives to fully satisfy the needs of its partners." - emphasized Ernő Hadnagy, the managing director of Daniella Electricity.
