The first cargo flight arrived at Debrecen International Airport on Tuesday, the airport operator Debrecen International Airport Ltd. (DIA Ltd.) informed MTI in a statement.
About 30 tons of e-commerce goods arrived with the Boeing 757 aircraft from China via Georgia. MTI was told that the plane's cargo will continue its journey by road to the forwarding companies.
The flight is scheduled to operate four times a week between the two destinations from next week, the statement said.
The launch of the service is already part of a comprehensive development that began with the appointment of Ernő Györke as the new managing director of the company, according to the DIA Ltd. statement.
