Telecom IT Center Established at the University of Pécs

The University of Pécs (PTE) and Deutsche Telekom (DT) IT Solutions are creating a new IT and telecommunications center for the approximately one thousand students of the Faculty of Engineering, Informatics and Natural Sciences, the higher education institution told MTI on Tuesday.

In their statement, they wrote that the so-called DT Excellence Center will offer professional opportunities for students from September this year, facilitating their future employment.

The aim of the center is to develop the theoretical knowledge and skills of students with a sector-specific approach, supporting their professional progress through project work, professional mentoring, certificates and scholarships, they said.

The IT company and the higher education institution have also strengthened their cooperation in the areas of research and development, innovation, professional networking and artificial intelligence, contributing to economic and scientific development, according to the PTE statement.
