Since the start of Audi Q3 production in Győr in 2018, one million units of this successful model have been produced, Audi Hungaria said in a news release.
Since its foundation in 1993, Audi Hungaria has produced more than 45 million engines and more than two million vehicles in Győr, NW Hungary. Production of the second generation of the Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback started in 2018.
"The one million vehicles produced is impressive proof of how popular the Audi Q3 is with our customers worldwide," Gerd Walker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Audi Hungaria and Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG responsible for Production and Logistics, said. "The Győr site has played a significant role in the success of the model and has ensured consistent quality for more than 25 years. Audi Hungaria has a unique portfolio of products and services that is important not only for the Hungarian industry but also for the Audi brand. This success story continues with the new generation Audi Q3, which will celebrate its world premiere this summer," he added.
Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria stated that "we are delighted to have reached the one million mark for the Audi Q3 produced in Győr. In 2024, the seventh year of production of the successful compact SUV, Audi Hungaria employees produced a total of 99,288 units. The Sportback version rolled off the production line in 63,759 units. With more than 30 years of powertrain production manufacturing experience and 25 years of vehicle manufacturing history, Audi Hungaria is a leading player in the Hungarian automotive industry and a driving force of the Hungarian economy.
