Moxy Budapest Downtown to Open in Early 2026

Forestay Group has organized a topping-out ceremony of the Moxy Budapest Downtown, a 283-room hotel set to open in spring 2026 on Budapest's historic Kazinczy Street.

With structural works now complete, the project is on schedule for delivery in the second quarter of 2026.

The project transforms a previously underutilized site, once home to the Hungarian Dance Academy, into an energy-efficient hotel targeting BREEAM Excellent certification.

This achievement will make it Europe's second Moxy to attain such a high sustainability rating and Hungary's first to receive full, not just design-level, certification.

The project also features extensive green urban integration, with over 70 trees to be planted around the building and revitalization efforts planned for the adjacent Kazinczy promenade.

At the same time, green rooftop areas and a fully planted courtyard will help mitigate urban heat and boost biodiversity.
