Provident Financial Ltd. has been sponsoring the Soroksár SC men's and women's football teams with HUF 50 million per season since 2023, and under the terms of the newly signed agreement, the club can count on Provident for the 2025/26 season as well.
The cooperation between the parties extends beyond sponsorship, with club officials also participating in Provident's social responsibility programs, such as the Dream Championship and the ProviGreen tree planting initiative, setting an example for the community.
Soroksár SC has a stable presence in the second division of Hungarian football. The club places great emphasis on youth development and community involvement. Their goal is to support sports in the district through football and to provide as many opportunities as possible for talented players to develop.
"Over the past 25 years, Provident has provided significant financial support to a number of sports and clubs in Hungary, including handball and football, while this year boxing has also been added to the list of sports sponsored by the company. The company's leaders have repeatedly emphasized that the values represented by sports are close to the company's core values, so they will always play a prominent role in the company's sponsorship strategy,” the CEO of Provident Financial Ltd. Viktor Boczán said.
“In sports, as in life, it is teamwork and perseverance that drive us forward. Soroksár SC is a club that also stands out for its community involvement. With our support, we want to strengthen this exemplary cooperation and help give new impetus to sports in Soroksár. I am also very grateful to the club's leaders for their active participation in social responsibility programs that are important to Provident," he added.
The Dream Championship, which is part of the joint Invisible program of Provident and the Hungarian Interchurch Aid organization, is a soccer championship for young people living in disadvantaged communities, focusing on community building, social integration, and personal development. Through the program, young people learn values such as teamwork, perseverance, and discipline, while also gaining the opportunity to build a better future for themselves.
