Sales of the BMW brand increased by 23% and MINI sales by 75% in the first nine months of 2025 compared to the same period last year, significantly exceeding the 7.7% growth of the Hungarian new car market, BMW Group Hungary informed MTI on Friday.
According to the announcement, BMW sold 5,283 vehicles and MINI sold 581 vehicles between January and September, which is a record for both brands, with total sales (5,864) exceeding last year's figures by 26.7%.
17.4% of BMW customers chose a purely electric model in the first nine months of the year, making the Bavarian premium manufacturer the third most popular brand in the Hungarian electric vehicle market and the clear leader among traditional premium brands.
Among BMW models, the compact BMW X1 and BMW iX1 proved to be the most popular, while sales of the manufacturer's other brand were led by the Countryman. Purely electric models accounted for more than a fifth (22%) of MINI sales.
The announcement quotes András Mester, sales manager at BMW Group Hungary, who said that there is huge interest in the brand's recently unveiled iX3 model, which will soon roll off the production line at its new factory in Debrecen.
