MVM OVIT Manufacturing, a unit of state-owned energy group MVM that makes substations and other transmission system infrastructure, has inaugurated state-of-the-art steel surface preparation and automatic painting equipment at its base in Göd, just north of Budapest, MVM Group informed MTI on Friday.
According to the announcement, the new production line, consisting of two main units — a shot blasting machine and an automatic painting machine — will serve to increase the company's painting capacity and meet growing customer demand.
As stated, the investment is a strategic step in increasing the company's competitiveness, and the commissioning of the equipment will significantly increase energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of production.
In the announcement, Károly Mátrai, CEO of the MVM Group, emphasized that MVM OVIT Manufacturing Plc. is the group's most important manufacturing competence center, which, in addition to developing the domestic electricity network, also represents Hungarian industrial expertise on international markets. The top-quality equipment supplied by the German Kaltenbach Group represents a new level in steel structure manufacturing and is the culmination of a multi-phase development program, he added.
The MVM Group's plant in Göd manufactures steel structures for the construction of high-voltage transmission lines and transformer substations for domestic and foreign orders.
