Air China will operate its Budapest-Beijing flight every day from spring, up from four times a week at present, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó said in Budapest on Sunday.
In a statement issued by his ministry, he said Budapest would be the fourth city in the European Union with a daily direct connection to Beijing.
He was of the opinion that Hungary had profited much from its cooperation with China in recent years, especially in the area of tourism.
He said that the number of Chinese tourists to Hungary was set to reach 250,000 in 2025. Those visitors had spent around 600,000 guest nights at tourism accommodations in the country.
