In November 2025, the average number of employed persons aged 15–74 was 4,637,000. The number of unemployed persons was 213,000 and the unemployment rate was 4.4%, according to the country's Central Statistical Office (KSH).
In the period September–November 2025, the average number of employed persons aged 15–74 was 4,656,000, 36,000 fewer than a year earlier. The number of employed people was down by 35,000 to 2,453,000 among males, while among females it remained unchanged at 2,202,000.
4,474,000 people worked in the domestic primary labour market, 43,000 fewer than in the same period of the previous year. The number of public workers was 75,000, while that of people working abroad was 106,000.
The employment rate for 15-64 year-olds was practically unchanged compared to the same period of the previous year at 75.0%, with a simultaneous decrease in the population and employment. This rate was 78.3% for men and 71.8% for women.
In the September–November period of 2025, the number of unemployed people aged 15–74 was 216,000, 15,000 fewer than a year earlier, while the unemployment rate was 4.4%.
The number of unemployed was 120,000 for males and 96,000 for females. The rate was 4.7% for men and 4.2% for women.
The average duration of job search was 12.3 months, 42.1% of all unemployed had been looking for a job for less than 3 months, while 33.9% had not found a job for at least a year.
According to the administrative data of the National Employment Service, the number of registered job seekers at the end of November 2025 decreased by 1.9% to 221,000 compared to a year earlier.
