A project was inaugurated at the Nyíregyháza Industrial Park in NE Hungary, in the northeast corner of the country, on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said in a statement.
According to the statement, decision to build a new, 640-hectare industrial park in the city was taken after its first one had reached capacity. The new park had attracted a number of automotive industry companies, including a key supplier to BMW.
With the new park filling up, the need arose to start another phase of development. The Hungarian government government decided to earmark HUF 220 billion for infrastructure developments to benefit the park. Of this amount, HUF 60 billion is available for the second phase of development of the 640-hectare park.
