Magyar Telekom Moves 2G Traffic to Yettel network

The largest Hungarian mobile services provider Magyar Telekom has announced an agreement to gradually transfer its subscribers' 2G traffic to the network of peer Yettel Hungary from Tuesday.

As MTI reports, The transition will be completed in several steps by April 1, 2026.

Magyar Telekom will use the freed-up frequencies to enhance its 4G/5G networks.

Magyar Telekom noted that it is assisting subscribers using only 2G capable devices with a device replacement program.
