Vidanet has been awarded the right to draw down HUF 6.4 billion in European Union funding for gigabit infrastructure upgrades, the company said in a statement.
According to the company's announcement on Wednesday, the aim of the developments is to make high-capacity wired internet access available to residential, business and public institution users in the affected areas, even at endpoints not covered by the gigabit-capable network.
The investments are in line with ViDaNet Plc.'s core business, are based on optical (FTTH) technology, and will be implemented in separate projects in the districts of Mosonmagyaróvár, Tata, Tét, Kapuvár, Tab and Csorna. The planned completion date for the works is December 31, 2028.
