Hungary's cash flow based general government deficit reached HUF 2,106.8 billion at the end of February, the Ministry of National Economy said in a preliminary release of data on Monday.
The central budget deficit reached HUF 2,010.1 billion and the social security funds were HUF 129.6 billion in the red, but separate state funds had a surplus of HUF 32.9 billion.
Revenue from tax and contributions rose 8.8% from the base period.
In February alone, the general government deficit came to HUF 2,139.1 billion, climbing from HUF 1,655.0 billion in the same month a year earlier.
