The inauguration of Scrub Daddy’s Hungarian investment and the ceremonial signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with the government took place in Mártély, SE Hungary.
Scrub Daddy was founded in 2012, while the idea for its flagship product dates back to 2006. The American startup gained recognition on the TV show Shark Tank, where it became the most successful company featured on the program for several years.
The company produces effective cleaning agents, sponges and other household cleaning tools by combining exclusive materials with entertaining and functional design. Within just a few years, Scrub Daddy grew from a garage-based idea into a global brand.
Thanks to the EUR 3.81 million project, the company increased its washing paste production capacity, and the Mártély site became the company’s global manufacturing unit, from which products are shipped to more than 40 countries worldwide. As part of the investment, which creates 15 new jobs, a new 1,270-square-meter production hall was built and new automated production lines were installed.
