Five-Year Development Program at Master Good

A new era is beginning at the Master Good Group: the move to the new meat processing plant in Sárvár will begin at the end of the summer, while the company is preparing a five-year investment program worth over HUF 350 billion. The development package includes a new slaughterhouse, a breading plant, a by-product processing facility, expansion of agricultural capacity, and significant infrastructure investments, the company announced in a press release.

According to László Bárány, managing owner of Master Good, the goal is not merely growth, but maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly changing global market. “This is a competitive world. Those who slow down now will fall behind. Those who fall behind will eventually be pushed out. Continuous development is not a matter of ambition, but a necessity for competitiveness,” he stated.

Construction of the new meat processing plant in Sárvár, W Hungary, will soon be completed. The project is proceeding with a slight delay, so the complete shutdown of the old factory and the move to the new facility are expected to take place at the end of the summer.

According to the company’s plans, the new facility will be one of the most efficient and technologically advanced meat processing plants in Europe — and indeed the world.

The plant’s production capacity is four times that of the current facility, while operating on a footprint that is only one and a half times larger. State-of-the-art automation, robotics and artificial intelligence-based solutions were integrated during the investment.

“We searched the globe for the most advanced technologies and used them — like Lego blocks — to build a system that simultaneously boosts efficiency, energy optimization, and food safety,” László Bárány added.

However, this technological advantage only becomes a true competitive edge when utilization rates are high. One of the most important tasks in the coming period will be to significantly expand sales volume, particularly in export markets.
