The number of new Audi models registered in Hungary rose 9.6% year-on-year to 1,904 in the first half of 2026, the exclusive local importer of the vehicles, Porsche Hungaria, said.

According to Porsche Hungaria, the Audi brand holds a 3.7% share of the Hungarian passenger car market and a 23% share of the premium segment.

It also accounts for nearly the same share (23.4%) of premium fleet sales, with 88% of Audis sold in Hungary going to corporate customers.

Half of the Audi models sold on the Hungarian market (49.9%) are still gasoline-powered (including mild hybrids), 9.6% are plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), and only 6% are fully electric (BEVs). This year, the A3 model family was the best-selling in Hungary (297 units).

All in all, the German automotive conglomerate Audi Group closed the first half of the year with declining revenue and revised its revenue forecast for this year downward.

The company’s revenue fell 10.4% year-over-year to EUR 29.177 billion, primarily due to a decline in vehicle sales; however, its operating profit rose 3.2% year-over-year to EUR 1.122 billion. The operating margin improved from 3.3% in the first half of 2025 to 3.8%.
