Vajda-Papír Ltd., a manufacturer of hygiene paper products, saw its revenue rise by more than 12 % to HUF 50.91 billion last year compared to the previous year, while its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 7.2 % to HUF 3.01 billion, the company has announced.
According to the report, the company posted a net income of HUF 10.41 billion in 2025, compared to a loss in the previous year. The significant improvement in earnings was supported not only by stronger operating performance but also by accounting effects related to property, plant, and equipment. In addition, the company’s long-term bond debt decreased.
Equity rose by 49% to HUF 31.65 billion, further strengthening the company’s financial stability and growth prospects. The value of property, plant, and equipment totaled HUF 11.29 billion, an 86% increase over the previous year. The significant growth in total assets reflects the company’s long-term development strategy and the continuous expansion of its production capacity, the company emphasized.
Vajda Real Estate Ltd. (a member of the Vajda-Papír Group that manufactures base paper and manages real estate) saw its revenue increase by 2.1% to HUF 39.42 billion, and its net income after taxes rose by 14.3% to HUF 1.52 billion, while equity increased by 15% to HUF 12.56 billion.
One of the company’s strategic activities is base paper production, which has been supplying raw materials for the group’s hygiene paper products since 2018 and will also begin selling base paper to external partners starting in 2023. A significant portion of the company’s assets consists of production facilities and real estate; the value of fixed assets totaled HUF 38.6 billion.
In 2025, the Vajda-Papír Group continued its long-term development program, which aims to expand production capacity, increase efficiency, and strengthen supply security.
In Dunaföldvár, central Hungary, the new development phase will see the creation of new production capacity, a new production hall, and an automated high-bay warehouse. As part of the development, two new processing lines will be commissioned, increasing the group’s annual processing capacity by approximately 30,000 metric tons. The investment will help further strengthen the company’s presence in export markets, increase production flexibility, and maintain domestic supply security, the company emphasized.
