Hungary's seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) stood at 51.3 points in August, edging down from 51.4 in the previous month, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Tuesday.
The PMI was over the 50-point threshold, signalling expansion in the manufacturing sector.
Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index fell 0.6 percentage points but continued to show growth.
The production volume index dropped 1.8 percentage points but still indicated expansion.
The employment index inched 0.3 percentage points lower but was over the 50-point threshold.
The delivery times index increased 3.2 percentage points but remained below the 50-point mark.
The gauge of purchased inventories slipped 0.6 percentage points but still showed growth.
