Budapest-based low-fare carrier Wizz Air will restart scheduled direct flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Amman, the airline announced on Wednesday.
It will restart the Budapest-Amman flight on September 22. The flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Jeddah will restart during the last week of October.
According to the announcement, Wizz Air is gradually resuming its flights, taking into account the review and modification of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s (EASA) conflict zone recommendations for the region, as well as its own comprehensive operational and safety assessments.
They emphasized that aviation safety is paramount, so the operation of all flights is subject to ongoing operational and safety assessments.
During the winter season, Wizz Air is resuming flights to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia on 12 routes with 49 weekly flights. The resumption of flights coincides with the time of year when millions of Europeans begin planning their winter trips, and many are looking for warmer destinations during the colder months. The airline is offering a total of 470,000 seats on these flights during the winter season from nine European cities. Wizz Air operates a fleet of 273 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and carried 68.6 million passengers in 2025.
