The management of PannErgy, as Hungary's leading geothermal heat producing company, has set a consolidated IFRS EBITDA target range of HUF 4,300–4,450 million for the 2026 business year (published in January 2026), the median value of which represents organic growth compared to the expected results of the 2025 business year. The company generated consolidated sales revenue of HUF 4,375 million in the half-year under review, which is 6% higher than in the base period.
Alongside the increasing level of sales revenue, the company's gross cash flow increased by 2% to HUF 2,080 million. The company's operating profit exceeds the result of the base period by 7%, while its consolidated EBITDA performance of HUF 1,661 million is nearly the same as that of the base period.
The significant strengthening of the forint against the euro in the reporting period (8% in terms of the average exchange rate of the reporting period and the base period) had a negative impact on the company's operating profit and EBITDA, primarily through a decline in sales revenue, which caused a decrease of HUF 87 million in operating profit and, at the same time, in EBITDA compared to the base period.
On the profit/loss on financial transactions line, however, the strengthening of the forint appeared as a positive effect. Mainly owing to this, financial transactions produced a financial profit of HUF 145 million in the half-year under review, as against the loss of HUF -134 million in the base half-year.
Overall, the company achieved a consolidated net profit of HUF 619 million in H1 2026, which is 75% higher than the net profit of HUF 353 million in the first half of the previous year.
