The UBM Group, which is engaged in feed production and the trading of feed ingredients, closed its fiscal year with revenue of over HUF 237 billion, the company announced on Friday.
According to the announcement, UBM Holding Plc.'s annual financial statements were approved at the company's general meeting on Friday. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, the group achieved consolidated revenue of HUF 237.3 billion, compared to HUF 239.9 billion in the previous fiscal year.
The group’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose from HUF 5.4 billion to HUF 6.2 billion, while profit before taxes turned from a previous loss of HUF 44.9 million to a profit of HUF 83 million.
The combined volume of manufactured feed, premixes, protected proteins, and other feed ingredients increased by more than 36% to 656,500 metric tons, the company reported.
The press release quoted Péter Horváth, CEO of the UBM Group, who said that the effects of climate change, deteriorating crop prospects, persistent difficulties in the swine sector, and volatility in international agricultural markets all shaped the group’s operating environment. Despite significant market challenges and one-time negative items, the group has taken strategically important steps toward growth, he added.
According to the company, the acquisition of the Hungarian subsidiary of the Dutch Royal Agrifirm Group, which was finalized in September 2025, contributed to the increase in production volume. The acquired company will continue to operate under the name UBM Nutrition Ltd.
The UBM Group currently exports to 20 countries, with 44.1% of its consolidated revenue coming from export activities, primarily in Western Europe and Romania, the company stated.
According to the announcement, UBM sold its 45% minority stake in its subsidiary, UBM Feed Romania SRL, during the recently concluded fiscal year. The transaction had a consolidated impact on earnings of HUF 1.95 billion.
The announcement also noted that the UBM Group plans to build a premix plant in Kazakhstan with an annual capacity of 48,000 metric tons and has signed a purchase agreement to acquire a majority stake in a Greek feed manufacturer. In addition, the group closed its sales offices in Italy and Serbia to reallocate its resources toward more sustainable and profitable long-term activities.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the UBM Group is one of Hungary’s largest feed ingredient traders and a market-leading feed manufacturer, with a turnover of 2.2 million metric tons.
