For four days (January 26-29), nearly 200 exhibitors await visitors in four pavilions at AGROmashEXPO, Hungary's most important agro-industrial meeting point. Agricultural machinery, services, input materials, award-winning products, technical innovations and high-quality professional program are presented in one place, in the renewed HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center.
Hungarian agriculture is entering a new era and can continue to catch up with the production levels of the most advanced European competitors. That is according to the Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, Zsolt Feldman, the state news agency MTI reports.
Speaking at the opening of the 40th AGROmashEXPO International Agricultural and Field Machinery Exhibition at Hungexpo in Budapest this on Wednesday, he said the government's most important task was to make Hungarian farmers the winners of change through rural development support, encouraging an increase in productivity and added value. In an era of global change, the ability to innovate, information and knowledge are becoming more valuable, and in the era of global supply chains, only those who seek cooperation rather than individual paths can be successful, he said.
The President of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK), Balázs Györffy said that the development of agricultural technology is extraordinary, especially compared to the way farmers have passed on almost the same knowledge from generation to generation for centuries. added that the chamber sees it as an important task to make farmers aware of innovations so that they can improve their productivity and thus achieve higher incomes.
The developments in agriculture can only be truly experienced on the spot, not to mention personal meetings that can lead to valuable business agreements, Hungexpo CEO Gábor Ganczer stressed. The exhibition was one of the largest before the renovation of Hungexpo, but this year, the exhibition center, which is now unique in the region, will offer visitors an even larger area than before, he added.
