Poultry meat exports increased while pork exports slighty fell in the first nine months of the year, compared to the same period in 2024, a report published by the Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI) shows.
Poulty meat exports were up at HUF 194.9 billion from HUF 165.4 billion, while volume increased to 162,800 tons from 159,700 tons. Imports at the same time decreased to HUF 46.2 billion from HUF 46.6 billion and in volume terms to 39,100 tons from 45,300 tons.
Pork exports were down at HUF 123 billion from HUF 141.4 billion as volume decreased to 113,900 tons from 123,400 tons. Imports slipped to HUF 107.2 billion from HUF 121.5 billion.
Live pork exports edged down to HUF 21.6 billion from HUF 23.1 billion even as volume was up at 27,000 tons from 24,300 tons. Imports dropped to HUF 28.2 billion from HUF 45.5 billion.
