Hungarian agribusiness UBM Group's sales revenue increased 20.8% year-on-year to HUF 239.93 billion in the business year ended June 30, 2025, the company said on Friday, after an annual general meeting.
Pre-tax losses came to HUF 45 million, which the company attributed to one-off items, and higher volatility and weaker performance in the livestock segment.
The total manufactured and traded product volume increased by close to 20% to 2.1 million tons.
UBM Group is Hungary's biggest feed company, it exports its products to 20 countries. Exports to Western Europe accounts for more than a third of its total consolidated revenue. Domestic sales make up 44% of consolidated revenue.
UBM plans a EUR 50 million investment in Kazakhstan, which is expected to boost revenue by 15%.
The group acquired Dutch-owned Agrifirm Hungary, which will continue operating as UBM Nutrition, increasing the group's production capacity in Hungary by 40% to 850,000 tonnes. It also increased its livestock production capacity, to 240,000 hogs a year.
The group also put into operation its 4MW photovoltaic power plant in Nyirmeggyes, built through investment of HUF 1.8 billion. Thanks to the power plant, renewable energy will cover 64% of UBM Feed's feed mixing factories and other plants.
