The AutoWallis Group continues to expand with the BYD brand after opening the first BYD sales point in Hungary in Győr. The new showroom in NW Hungary will support the further growth of the leading integrated car and mobility service provider in the Central and Eastern European region, the groups said in a statement on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange.
The AutoWallis Group, which is present in 16 countries, is further strengthening its presence in the Hungarian automotive retail sector after opening the first BYD sales point in Hungary outside the capital, in Győr. The expansion in Western Hungary follows the opening of the first showroom of the Chinese car
brand in the capital in 2023 by the region's leading integrated car and mobility service provider.
BYD vehicles will be serviced by Iniciál Autóház, another AutoWallis Group company with a dominant position in the West Hungary region. The move is in line with AutoWallis' strategic objective to grow organically and through acquisitions, as well as through business development, including the opening of new dealerships.
Péter Antal, Head of AutoWallis' Retail Business Unit, said that the opening of the new sales point is an important step in AutoWallis' activities in Hungary, as it means that the popular Chinese car brand is now also present outside the capital. Péter Antal emphasized that AutoWallis is committed to sustainable operation and the transition to green transport, and customers are becoming more and more open to new technologies, which is why the company decided to further expand its presence in this segment. Western Hungary has a significant customer potential and the demand for electric vehicles in the region is increasing year by year, so the choice of Győr was made taking into account these market trends and economic factors, he added.
