After the entertainment electronics exhibition in Las Vegas earlier this year, the BMW Group is presenting its new study car in Debrecen, E Hungary. The BMW i Vision Dee will be on display for three days in the lobby of the Modem Modern and Contemporary Art Center.
Réka Jenei, Communications Director of BMW Group Factory Debrecen, recalled at the press conference held at the venue that the BMW i Vision Circular, a model car built entirely from recycled materials and fully recyclable, was first presented at the Campus Festival in Debrecen this summer. She added that in 2025, the Neue Klasse, an all-new electric platform, will roll off the production line in Debrecen for the first time in the world.
Speaking about the BMW i Vision Dee study car, she said it takes its name from the initials digital emotional experience, which refers to the closest ever connection between a human and a car. It's a futuristic mid-size sedan that the designers have envisioned along a new design concept that has been simplified to the extreme.
The digital features of the future go far beyond the voice controls and driving support systems we know today. The BMW Head-Up Display, meanwhile, covers the entire windscreen area, bringing one of the innovations of the next generation of vehicles into the present ahead of schedule: from 2025, this innovation will be available in the Neue Klasse generation. Meanwhile, the BMW Group has also further developed its revolutionary color-changing body technology: following the black and white shades of the E Ink technology unveiled a year ago, also in Las Vegas, the body of the BMW i Vision Dee study car will now be able to reproduce up to 32 colors this year, the press release explained.
Katalin Vizi, director of the Modem Modern and Contemporary Art Center, said that the three-day show would be a meeting of technology and art in the spirit of innovation and creativity at Modem.
In addition to BMW's latest Vision model, the programs will show how Hungary's youngest museum institution works, what an art warehouse is like and how art is processed in the research room, she added.
