New passenger car registrations in Hungary rose 7.7% year-on-year to 95,946 in Q1-Q3 of this year, the Hungarian Association of Vehicle Importers (MGE) said on Thursday.
Excluding re-exports, the number of registrations rose 5.8% to 82,226.
The number of electric vehicles sold during the period climbed 23% to 8,028, boosted by a subsidies scheme.
The number of light commercial vehicle registrations dropped 7.4% to 17,030.
The number of large commercial vehicle registrations slipped 12.2% to 3,707 and the number of bus registrations rose 5% to 2,399.
