Sales of new Toyota vehicles in Hungary reached 16,635 in 2025, giving the car maker 10.9% market share, importer Toyota Central Europe country director Richárd László said at a press conference on Tuesday.
Turnover slipped 8.2% as delivery problems hit sales of top-selling models, Laszlo said. He added that 18,000 vehicles, and a market share of over 11%, was a realistic target for Toyota in 2026.
Excluding re-exports, Toyota's fleet sales in Hungary dropped 6.2% to 9,930. Toyota's market share in the segment reached 12.4%.
LCV sales declined 20.8% to 2,773, giving Toyota 11.7% market share. Sales of battery electric vehicles surged 175% to 294%.
Sales of Toyota's premium Lexus brand decreased 9.3% to 1,354 to give the car maker 6.3% market share in the segment.
