Last year was an outstanding year for VERTIKAL Group, a company implementing the concept of a circular economy and operating in the environmental management, logistics and plastics industries, the company listed on BSE's Xtend platform told MTI on Friday.
According to the statement, net sales increased by 67% last year compared to HUF 12.5 billion in 2023, reaching nearly HUF 21 billion. EBITDA, or earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, rose 22.5% to nearly HUF 2.8 billion.
It was reported that the company would put the after-tax profit into the profit and loss reserve to finance further growth, as proposed by the board of directors.
VERTIKAL performs complex tasks in a number of regions and municipalities in cooperation with MOHU MOL Waste Management Ltd. and its appointed regional coordinators.
As one of the largest service providers in the concession system, it covers almost the entire range of waste management activities, including public service and institutional sub-activities, as well as support for regional coordinator activities, waste treatment and disposal.
The company also manufactures semi-finished and finished plastic products at its plant in Dombóvár, where production technology was upgraded as part of a HUF 2.5 billion investment handed over last summer. This has significantly reduced the environmental impact by minimising the specific energy consumption per unit of product.
The company has also become a major employer, with an average of 496 employees last year.
