Amazon Web Services (AWS) has opened its first office in the Hungarian capital, as part of the company's ongoing expansion in Central and Eastern Europe to serve a growing number of regional customers and partners, the company told MTI on Monday.
The new Hungarian headquarters will enable staff to provide even more support for migrating to AWS cloud services for organizations of all sizes in Hungary, including startups, start-ups, enterprises and public sector organizations. The current expansion follows the establishment of AWS' Budapest server base in January 2020.
Customers in Hungary use AWS systems to run everything from mobile, web and social applications to development and test environments for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), Big Data analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as enterprise business applications and mission-critical computing. AWS customers include Arcanum, Colossyan, Euronics Hungary, ingatlan.com, Lensa, Magyar BankHolding, Proofminder, Puraset, Raiffeisen Bank International, Recart, SEON Technologies and Shapr3D.
For years, AWS has supported the Hungarian startup and technology community, as well as students and teachers, through programs such as AWS Academy and AWS Activate. In addition to these, Amazon Web Services is now introducing its new AWS Skill Builder program in Hungary. AWS Skill Builder is AWS Training and Certification's digital learning hub with more than 600 free courses.
