Amway, the world's leading direct selling company, achieved global sales of USD 7.4 billion (HUF 2,727 billion) in 2024, and HUF 6.1 billion in Hungary, the former down 3% and the latter up 4% compared to 2023, the company told MTI on Friday.
According to the information, global sales fell last year due to the strengthening of the dollar, with positive trends in key areas, which confirm the strategy focused on well-being and health.
In the statement, Jon L. Voskuil, Managing Director for ESAN's regional operations (Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand), said this new strategic focus would ensure sustainable growth in the region's markets.
It was also reported that sales in the ESAN region increased by 5% to USD 424 million in 2024, and Hungary is ranked eighth in the region by sales.
Amway offers around 400 products in Hungary, with the most popular product categories being home care, beauty and personal care, after vitamins and supplements, they wrote.
The company has eight warehouse centres in the region, one of which has been operating in Budapest since 2007. Its warehouse, equipped with some of the continent's most modern technology, serves seven countries - Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Austria, Italy, Greece and Bulgaria - in addition to Hungary.
