The Andersen international tax and legal consulting group will return to Hungary with the merger of OrienTax Tax Consultant Co. Ltd. and Szabó, Kelemen and Associates Law Firm in July.

In its statement to the Hungarian news agency MTI on Saturday, Andersen Consultant Co. Ltd. emphasized that Andersen, which operates independently and has a global expert background, also offers an attractive business alternative in Hungary, in addition to the large international consulting companies that dominate the market.

"Contrary to market practice, Andersen provides tax and legal advice without having to comply with audit conflict of interest rules," the company's chief executive, Károly Radnai, was quoted as saying.

According to László Kelemen, managing director of Szabó, Kelemen and Associates Andersen Law Office, besides the 'BIG4', there is currently no such close and large-scale merger between tax advisors and law firms in the Hungarian market.
According to Andersen’s announcement, the two companies together have 90 employees, including about 70 tax and legal experts.

It was announced that a similar name change is being carried out in a total of 11 European countries at the same time as in Hungary. The Andersen Group had only two European offices in 2014, but that number has now risen to 50 locations with 2,000 employees. Andersen has more than 5,000 employees in 177 locations globally.
The group of companies, founded in 2002 by 23 former tax advisers Arthur Andersen as WTAS (Wealth and Tax Advisory Services USA), took on the Andersen name again in 2014.
