AutoWallis Distribution, a subsidiary of the AutoWallis Group, will be the wholesale distributor of the Opel brand in Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia for another five years, at least until the end of 2028, the AutoWallis Group told MTI on Thursday.
Gábor Ormosy, CEO of AutoWallis Plc, said in a statement that the agreement for another five years was of strategic importance, as Opel accounted for 30% of the almost 35,000 vehicles sold by AutoWallis' wholesale division, making it the largest weight.
Gábor Ormosy explained that more than half of AutoWallis' revenues are consistently coming from foreign markets thanks to organic and acquisition growth. Its turnover has quadrupled since 2019, reaching nearly EUR 1 billion. The company is now present in 16 countries in the region, representing 23 brands in total. AutoWallis' strategic goal is to become the region's leading car and mobility provider by the end of the decade.
The shares of AutoWallis Plc. are traded in the premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange. In the last year, the lowest price was HUF 87 and the highest price was HUF 133.5.
