The infrastructural development of the Austrian company Binder Industrial Structure Construction Ltd. in Csönge, a village near the Austrian border, further strengthens the region’s economic growth, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) reports.
The company, specializing in the production of metal structures, is investing EUR 8 million, primarily aimed at expanding the capacity of its metal sheet and steel structure manufacturing division. Hungarian taxpayers cover about 15% of the investment costs in the form of state subsidy.
The investment concentrates on the technological and infrastructural development of the Csönge site. In addition to establishing new office buildings and production facilities, the existing manufacturing areas are also being modernized. The machinery lineup is being expanded with an automatic shot-blasting machine to enable more efficient surface cleaning, while a fiber laser system allows for precise metal processing.
Production currently takes place on approximately 20,000 sqm across three product groups. All Hungarian production is exported abroad, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. Binder’s customers operate in a wide range of industries, from energy production to sugar, paper, and cement manufacturing, as well as the pharmaceutical and wood industries. Three-quarters of the suppliers for the Csönge plant are Hungarian, generating significant exports that improve the trade balance and enhance the prestige of the domestic industry.
Through the installation of solar panels and heat pumps as part of the investment, the Vas County plant will cover 20% of its energy needs from renewable sources, strengthening its sustainability efforts and environmentally friendly operations.
Binder Industrial Structure Construction Ltd. employs nearly 100 people at its site and develops its workforce through a dual vocational training program.
