The factory-owned subsidiary, which represents the BMW and MINI brands in Hungary, was founded in spring 2004, the company says in a press release.
Over the past twenty years, the company, now operating under the name BMW Group Hungary, has enjoyed almost uninterrupted growth in sales and after-sales service, building a nationwide dealer and service network and becoming an integral part of the vibrant Hungarian cultural scene.
Launched on 3 May 2004 as a subsidiary of the BMW Group, its main activity was the import and sale of BMW and MINI models, but it also imported and distributed original spare parts and equipment and provided financing services for its customers.
From 2011, the previously independent unit (national sales company) became an integral part of the BMW Group's strategy for the Central and South-Eastern European region, with the office now serving sales and marketing in 12 countries from its headquarters in Salzburg. "Two decades is a huge and meaningful time for a company. The BMW Group has always worked hard to be among the best with its vehicles and services. As a corporate player, we have worked to be a successful and attractive partner in all areas of business by supporting good initiatives and various programs. The satisfaction and feedback of our customers, partners, dealers and colleagues was our most important value twenty years ago - as it is today. I believe that in our increasingly challenging world, the human factor is the greatest asset, alongside good strategy, excellent cars, engines and services. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners, dealers and my own colleagues for their commitment, enthusiasm and professionalism - indispensable to the success of the BMW Group in Hungary," the Managing Director of BMW Group Hungary, Zoltán Gombos highlighted on the occasion of the anniversary.
