Call Center Operator Almost Triples its Headcount

The Binax Group, a Zalaegerszeg-based call center operator, will hire 150 new employees this year and 120 next year, in addition to the 150 employees it has so far, the owner of the group said at a press conference on Thursday.

Tibor Ott said that the group, which started in Zalaegerszeg in 1998 and currently provides call center services to its partners in nearby Nagykanizsa, consists of six companies. In these two Zala towns, they are engaged in customer service activities, market and public opinion research, as well as sales campaign support.

Their activities require a high level of IT and energy background to ensure that they are able to serve their customers with 99.99% reliability during working hours. As an example, he said that cyber-attacks have quadrupled since the war started in Ukraine, but in the event of an infrastructure problem, they can run their entire system for up to ten days on their own energy resources.

The owner of the group, which was awarded the Zalaegerszeg Innovation Prize in 2012, also said that the coronavirus epidemic had reduced the number of partners and the number of employees to 150. The majority of their employees are women, many of whom have young children, are single and care for elderly parents, so the company has created opportunities to work from home during the epidemic.

At the end of last year, a major IT and property development and job expansion was launched. Recently, 50 new staff members have been recruited, a further half a hundred are being recruited, but another 50 are due to be hired at the end of the summer, and the company plans to add another 120 staff members next year," Tibor Ott said.

The group, which operates at a profit, achieved net sales of around HUF 1.8 billion in 2021, and is expected to close last year with revenues of between HUF 2.2 and 2.5 billion. The group expects to achieve net sales of around HUF 3 billion by 2023, and will use its own resources for its development.
